History of Cottonwood

  

   Deciding to pursue a life long dream of owning his own business, Larry Dvorak left the corporate world, where he worked for more than 27 years. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to open Cottonwood Pet Resort.  Established in 1989 by Larry and Jan Dvorak, Cottonwood Pet Resort continues to be owned and managed by the Dvorak Family.

  

   When the Dvoraks opened Cottonwood Pet Resort, and as the name implies, they set a goal to change the way pets are boarded. Word spread pretty fast on the attentive care and service given to pets who stayed at the resort.  Today, Cottonwood continues to set the bar high when it comes to caring for its furry four-legged customers.

  In 1992, the Dvoraks hired their son Dave to help with operations.  Since 1992 the resort has experienced exceptional growth, creating the need to expand.  There's been four expansions with the most recent in 2011.  The resort now encompasses over 13,000 square feet and sits on 11 park-like acres. 

   Presently, Cottonwood Pet Resort is owned and operated by Dave Dvorak and employs over 20 full and part time employees.

We would not have the reputation of superior service, if not for the people who care for our resort guests.  Our dedicated staff is committed to providing exceptional care.         They know its the little things that count and giving your pets, our guests, the attention they deserve makes for a more enjoyable visit.     Make sure to share what your pet likes or dislikes because staying with us should be as good as being at home.  Our staff will do what it takes to make your pet to feel the way they do at home.

Monday-Friday    8:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M.

Saturday            8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.

Sunday              Closed (Open only for Special Sunday Check-out Service)

Christmas Eve     8 A.M. - 1 P.M

New Year's Eve   8 A.M. - 1 P.M.

Our Resort Reception is closed on the holidays listed below.  However, Cottonwood Pet

Resort's staff is on duty 365 days a year for all of our resort guests.
